    Distortion in wide angle

    Hello everybody.

This is my first post here. I am a Dutch amateurphotographer with lots of interests. (Feel free to have a ook at my site).
I am a very happy Powershot G11 user. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the distortion at 28 mm. (Trees always seem to fall over). Is the G1X handling this better?

    hi Hanno, welcome to seriouscompacts!
unfortunately I can't answer your question, but I do wonder whether you're shooting raw or jpeg...

I can't give a definitive answer either. Maybe look at some test charts. Of course there are always ways to fix that in post production. There is a bit of a learning curve, but that's true with anything. It might help if you could show us an example of what you mean as well.

For others who are interested, but have never tried correcting lens distortion (or perspective distortion), there is a good video by Adobe halfway down the page in this link......
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 * Correct lens distortion and adjust perspective
