gave in to temptation...got my rx100 today
Decided to dump $640 into another compact today....ran around and took about 150-175 shots in various modes and formats (jpeg and RAW)...I need to figure out how to transfer pics to my nexus 7 tablet now.

There is a brand new eye-fi out, 16GB pro. I would just order it online from somewhere like Amazon. The price is the same as you would have paid for the 8GB a few months ago, so it isn't too bad, and is totally worth it. I have a Motorola Xoom and it works really well with the RX100 and Eye-fi.

Also the new card is class 10 vs class 6 on the older card.

Me too, though I am not as tempted as I was at the beginning. Now, I'd be tempted by the RX1 if I had the dosh, but I dont think its so good that I would sell what I have to get it.

I had never heard of Eye-fi before until this thread. $100 for a 16gig card on Amazon is eye-watering, but gives me something to do research on. Thanks for posting.
