Speaking of lens, if you check the lens performance here Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 Camera Optics - Review you'll see that corner softness at wide angle and f1,8 is terrible, but things get much better if you stop down a little (f4).

Still, this is a wonderful little beast, and when price drops a little, I'll sell my beloved S95...

I wouldn't worry too much. Look at the corner results from the Panasonic LX5 for example. Same story.

I was checking out the images and preview on DP review and I must say the images look fantastic!! I would like to have seen more DOF images but on the whole very impressed. If the XZ-2 and LX6 can produce similar images then I'll be very happy. I plan to get the LX6 when it's launched as I can get one for free through work. I think July is going to be the month they announce the XZ-2 and LX6. Fingers crossed!!

I agree. Planning to sell my S100 too. I do hope other manufacturers introduce more cameras that can rival this one so we can have cheaper alternatives. Not really a Sony fan...

Someone on the sister site, mu-43, already has a RX100 and posted shots.

I have just had a look at those images last night and i must say apart from the lack of DOF those images are pretty stunning. I have downloaded a couple and played with them in Elements and they do look good. Fingers crossed the LX6 or LX7 is going to be as good!!
