If this isn't a cry for help and attention, then I don't know what is. Rent EOS M for free in Japan

I would save a lot of money if all camera firms did this!

Isn't this just the same as internet sales return policies in the US???

On the bright side, maybe this is a good signal to Canon -- "your camera isn't cutting it! go back and try again!" :)

Hmm but the idea is that you have to give them back Karen ...

Most of the time when people complain about a problem, I take it with a grain of salt.
-Fuji orbs don't bother me
-Nikon oil spots don't bother me
-DP1 and E-PL2 red spots don't bother me
-Large amounts of dust in lenses doesn't bother me
-Sony NEX AF speed doesn't bother me
-Micro 4/3 DOF control doesn't bother me
-Lightroom artifacts with X-Trans and EXR sensors don't bother me
-Canon G1X AF speed doesn't bother me
-E-P1 AF speed doesn't bother me
-Shutter shock doesn't bother me
-NEX lens size relative to body size doesn't bother me
-etc etc
Well I tried the EOS M a couple days ago, and the AF speed on that camera with the pancake really bothered me. Can't imagine that changing after a week of use!

Amin: THAT is a testament to slow autofocus. You should send that along to Canon.

I hope he just did, lol.
If Canon isn't following the social networking side of the camera market, then they'll end up producing ... well, something like the EOS-M!!!

I feel bad saying it, but it's an honest impression.
I've bought many, many Canon cameras (A95, S50, G7, G9, G10, G11, S90, S95, 300D, 350D, 10D, 20D, 30D, 5D, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some). I want to see Canon do well in this space.
Hopefully the one I tried had a bad setting or old firmware, but it was dog slow.

I have a few dogs that take umbrage with that last comment.
