With therapy, I'm sure I could do that! Now I see you've got a new lady in your life. Must be serious, she's not just for the weekends!

That reminds of an old joke my Dad used to tell.
A nun joins a convent with very strict guidelines which includes absolute silence. Only silent prayer is allowed. Each nun is is allowed to say one thing every 10 years to share a thought with the community that comes from deep devotion and contemplation of all things spiritual.
So after she had been there 10 years, she emerged from her room to share her thoughts with the rest of the group. She cleared her throat and said "My room is cold". She then returned to her room for another 10 years of prayer and reflection.
10 years pass and she again emerges ready to share that which she has divined from her quiet contemplation. This time with a quiet voice she said "My bed is hard". She then returned to her room for another 10 years of prayer and reflection.
Eventually another 10 years pass and all the nuns get together to share their thoughts. She stood before the group and said, "My room is cold. My bed is hard. And I quit". One of the nuns leaned over and said "I thought she would never leave. All she's done since she got here is complain"

Is the problem slow focus confirmation like the Canon G1X, or actually just slow focus? The G1X focuses fairly quickly but then has a pause before it lights up the green box which gives the impression of it being much slower than it is.

There's several youtube examples of the AF speed. This one looks the worst for the M, though there are some that make it seem not quite as bad

I think it was both, Nic, but I only tried it for a few minutes. I've used the Canon G1X and found that autofocus to be acceptable. This seemed much slower.

Well, that's disappointing and hard to understand why it should be like that. I handled one of these for the first time today, although unfortunately it was display-only with the battery removed. It feels so small! I really need more real estate on the grip side of the body. The lens mount dominates the front of the camera and encroaches a long way towards the right hand side (looking from behind).

Being unable to use manual focus magnification in bulb mode bothers me.
