Hi everyone, I'm Kieran from Melbourne, Australia. I've lurked here for quite a while and thought I should finally join. Lots of great advice and photography on this site. My compact is a Ricoh GRD3 with a broken screen, so an upgrade to a GXR is in the works...

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I picked Self-Eating Pie because I needed an eBay name and it was the first thing to came to mind (God knows why), then I started using it as an umbrella name for the music/photography/film stuff that I do.

I've noticed there's lots of Australians here too. Maybe the strong Austraalian dollar has sent them into a camera-importing frenzy? Camera gear is certainly a lot cheaper here than it was a few years ago. Still enough to send me broke though

Hi SEP :) Welcome from another Aussie :)

I sent myself broke last year, because I just had to have the cameras everyone was talking about. Had to stop though. Aussie dollar is sinking again, but still pretty healthy. Not enough for me to buy anything new for quite some time.

I've noticed several new members...some have posted quite a few comments and photos, but they haven't introduced themselves.
