    Panny GX1 Aspect Ratio Issue.

I like to change aspect ratio sometimes depending on the tension in the image.
So if I set from say 3:2 to 4:3 in the menu, I don't see the change on the screen.
Even going to 1:1 I still see a rectangle.
The recorded image shows the chosen aspect but not before.
    This is totally weird.
Any help appreciated. If this is normal, please don't tell me because the camera will be for sale instantly.

That is weird Don and I would find that really annoying too! It could be some silly option that ensures you are maximising the screen estate.

Norman, it's actually a result of me accidentally hitting the touch screen.
The screen went from picture mode to video mode. It's all ok now and the touch screen is off until I need it.

That touch screen has a sense of humor, no doubt.

I'm still on the fence regarding touch screens. I have a GX-1 and sometimes wish it didn't have that feature. I rarely use it and it is often a PITA, as you have found.

Bill, to be honest.... I have sold the GX1 because of a few small issues. It makes great images but I don't like fighting my cameras. I did turn off the touch screen and that helped until....you want to use the quick screen.
