Really nice shots in this thread! You all almost make me want the snows to come. We did have a snow flurry squall for about 45 minutes this morning.
Keep up the great work!
Here is a winter one from me, taken at the harbor in our town.

I love the grainy effect you have got with that one - really adds to the atmosphere...

Still no snow here....
Had a day of freezing fog yesterday, so no walk with the dog... However, today was different... a bright, sunny winters day, so I managed a walk with the dog (day off work)...
I went around my Local Country Park (Croxteth) with my LX5... click on the photo below to view photos of the day....

Nice set Mal. All of the images convey a clear sense of winter and the cold but in a gentle and even serene manner. I particularly like the images of the various trees.

Nikon P5000, original exposure tweaked until it shrieked. Confessions extracted under duress are not admissable, so no further data provided. Taken prisoner end of 2007 but weather was just like this a couple of days ago. :retch:

"This way!" cried Beaky, "Follow me!" and ran head-first into a tree.

This is what winter looks like in Caguas, Puerto Rico. About 80F.

Antonio, thanks for rubbing it in! However, in all seriousness - I love this image with that pigeon zooming across!!! Is this one of the three wise men AKA three kings?
JohnE - wonderful subtitle to yours. I like the way that photo shrieks very much - it's also a great reminder to get some good cold weather gear for those of us who do not live in the southern climes...and get out and take pictures!
