Men really grew awesome facial hair back then. Some of those beards could have a small family living in them.

some really good photography going on there! Wonderful opportunity to get a look at more-or-less daily life there. I didn't know photos that old could look that good! Was photography in the US more advanced than in Europe at the time?

oh, and beards are awesome! I'm rocking a beard that has people confuse me with a Taliban warrior at the moment
