Thread: A few days in Vienna

I took a trip to Vienna in the past week, first ever visit. Beautiful city to walk around, especially with the Christmas season coming up. Unfortunately the weather was a little grey, so I converted most pictures to B&W. All pictures taken with Nikon P7700.

As much as I appreciate your black and whites, I find your color images to be the ones that hit home with me because I can feel the life and excitement. My favorite is the close up of the Christmas ornaments...visions of Christmastime are starting up for me now!

Hi Pim, BB speaks for me too! The detailed black and whites are beautifully done but the colour ones from the markets and the church bring out the real warmth :). Amazing what this little camera can do.

Thanks Wolf, I really liked the city a lot. I have seen a lot of Europe's capitals, and I have to say this one is right up there as far as architecture and atmosphere goes.. really beautiful to walk around, great buildings, friendly people, nice restaurants and bars... all around good time..:)

Really great set of photos. Was in Vienna this past June and really wish I had spent more time there -it is a stunning city for sure.

Nice shots. I was in Vienna briefly as a teenager, but would appreciate it much more now...especially with a camera.

Wonderful architectural details (as always) that are really set off in b&w. It's certainly a city that I'd like to visit one day.
