Some lovely shots Heather, thanks for posting. My father came from Motherwell but I've never ventured to Scotland I'm ashamed to say!

I have very much enjoyed the series. I'm told that our family came to America from France, by way of Scotland, several generations ago. I have wanted to visit Scotland, but I'll have to do it by photos, from folks like you.

A bit noisy this one, but this was the dog walk last night. There were two deer in the wheat, just little roe deer with only a head and two antlers sticking above the grain. Beautiful watching them bounding away. I keep saying to Mum that I'm going to take a long lens and a flask and set up a wee pitch in the evening and wait for them to come out. I see them most nights. Mum isn't keen, the travellers have been poaching the deer recently and she doesn't want me getting shot by accident. I pointed out that this was pretty unlikely, but you know what Mums are like.
