Little Vale: A trip to another rural property
I think you're all a little tired of happy snaps of my little corner of the Earth. So here's a series from a small day trip to a friend's place known as Little Vale.
Much like our place there's a long driveway to get even close to the front entrance.

Then, with some relief, you reach the "front yard"

But don't undo that seatbelt just yet many a kilometre yet to go. But at least there are views along the way. Just to get an idea of the scale have a sneak peeek at the bottom left hand corner of the dam...yep them silhouettes be cows!

Once there I meet one of the residents. Gingerbread is only agisted here but she seems quite content in her environs

While a long time resident, Tilk who probably owns a good portion of the thousands of acres here, is a little less happy to see me. Though I'm assured it was the wind at play

A little wander about finds me face to face with an often seen sight on our properties...the rust and the wreckage. A shame it's always hidden away as the textures and shapes are always intriguing.

But just a short visit so to-da-loo...

Mark, your images really give a feel for the expanse of the place and your processing adds to that feeling, but...

...it looks like some joker has put a crocodile in Gingerbread's water!

Mark, as always your part of Australia defies my stereotypes of the country which are somewhere which is hot, dry, arid and with cloudless blue skies.

Lovely set Mark. Certainly looks like a fine place to visit. Unusual colour tint to many of your shots, makes them look like they were taken with a film camera - and some time ago!

Great series, and I very much enjoy the film-like colours of the shots. The clouds are awesome! What lens did you use for these shots?

Thanks all.
My intention with the processing was to emulate slide - and not quite sure if I pulled it off....it's trickier than it sounds. Meanwhile, all shots with the PL25. I'm head over heels with this lens. It, and it's sister 45, keep me wedded to the mu43 platform. I simply love their handling and rendering.
