These are screenshots, not intended to make you think they are real because they are not. I guess I have a thing for dramatic sunsets or sunrises.

Being in Texas doesn't hurt any! I grew up in the southwest and, while I find plenty to love about the other places I've lived, I'll NEVER see sunsets like the ones from my youth on any sort of consistent basis again. I was almost too young to appreciate it but they were so incredible that the memory has really stuck through all of these years away. And the occasional visit is all it takes to rekindle missing the place...

I've read that the sunsets here are so spectacular sometimes due to all the dust blowing in the air. We get a lot of wind here sometimes.

The sun came out yesterday just long enough to provide a sunset.
The next was taken a few minutes later. It was cold and I decided to go home but as I walked I looked back and this what I saw.

I read in a photography book that you should always remember to look behind when you're out taking pictures. And, as you say, I'm glad I did.

Wow, Kathy - are we talking your newest little camera here? The difference in color is amazing - it's been pretty wild here lately too. Winter skies can be breathtaking - as is evidenced in yours, that's for sure!
