I was willing to take the white or the black.... both sold out.

All gone.

Even I would cave in for a K-01 at that price, but Amazon wouldnt have shipped it here anyway, and by the time you organise a forwarder... too late

Yeah we have no hope :-( and like Kyte said by the time a forwarder is organised it's either too late or too dear.

For sure, it's a great sensor that works with a great family of primes. I was one of the early adopters that bought at full retail and even then it was one of the cheapest options for that particular Sony 16MP sensor.

Got to hand it to Pentax. With the K-01 and Q they've brought fun back into photography. And now that they are deeply discounted, many more will learn.

and with the massive discounts on the K-01 and the odd choice of focal length for a kit lens, they've snagged a bunch of new customers for their lens line-up.
