I have no unfulfilled needs and not a whole lot of wants that aren't pretty well under control (at least for myself - many hopes for my kids that are stories in early stages). Don't want for anything in terms of cars or clothes or housing because I don't care about those things beyond my already satisfied simple tastes. I have a couple of nice guitars and bikes and my current passion is down to photography and I have damn few wants there. I'd take another lens or two for my m43 and X-Pro systems, but nothing I couldn't happily do without.
But what I'm REALLY psyched about and just plain WANT is the group of small-ish cameras that will follow on the heels of the RX100. I ultimately disliked that camera a great deal, but that sensor is amazing and put in a real camera and continually improved, could be the basis for a LOT of my future shooting. Make the LX-8 or X30 or ZX3 big enough to make that sensor work with a good 24-90/110 or so zoom in the f1.4/1.8 - 2.3/2.8 range with controls along the lines of the LX7 or X10 and I could see using that camera for the VAST majority of my shooting. It might have to be larger than the X10, maybe about the size of the X100? That'd be more than fine with me. I don't care about a horribly compromised camera that fits in a tight pants pocket, but one fine do it all camera that's fairly small and that's what I'd grab almost every day. If you make it identical to today's LX7 (gotta have that multi aspect sensor, step zoom, great manual focus controls and memory, aperture ring, etc.) but add the flip/touch screen from the XZ2 and I'd pay whatever you'd charge and never look back. The only downside would be that such a camera would really marginalize my current cameras and I REALLY like those cameras. I'd still use them but the m43 gear would probably be used for highly specialized shooting where I'd just need a specific lens and the Fuji would remain a nice change of pace but would be used far too little. I'd probably sell quite a few m43 lenses. But I could live with that stuff - such a small camera would/will blow my mind if done right and would almost certainly be my main rig and the one I'd grab without a pretty particular reason to use something else.
That's what I WANT. World peace would be nice but is slightly less likely and might take just a wee bit longer to achieve.

Cameras aren't allowed unless you are going to take bird images ......... you can have a 500mm or 600mm f4 Tele....... but a Nikon, definitely NOT a Canon

Missed the part about cameras not allowed. I don't think I've ever purposely taken a photograph of a bird, although I've had the damned things fly through some of my shots from time to time. So that exemption doesn't apply.
In that case I just want the Italian language to magically pop into my head sometime before July, with no work or discipline required on my part. Can anyone help me out with that?
