Next time I lose my power, I'm going over to John's to help him finish off his Stella Artois. I don't drink beer as much as I used to, but when I do that's a FINE choice. Glad to hear you and yours are OK.

Everyone stay safe. If anyone needs something let me know. We were out of power last year for a week due to tornadoes.

Yeats lives!!!
Online only briefly, but we are well and safe, just a bit chilly but otherwise no complaints. I hope and pray everyone here is fine, and I hope to be back online sometime this coming week.
Cheers & hugs to all!

Hope everyone got well out of it! Good to hear from those of you that did! I've been of the forum due to the work overload - it's good to come back and find you in high spirit regardless of the turmoil you went through. Keep it up!

What a relief, Chris!! Thank goodness you and yours are all safe and sound. Once you get all powered up again, please get back in touch. I'll be looking forward to it - and to your photos - very much.

Power was finally restored last night to our part of town; other sections not expecting power until the 9th. A large number of fallen trees (three fell onto my next door neighbor's house, one grazed our cars) and downed wires--but it's nothing like the coasts of NJ and Staten Island or the 100 plus houses burned down in Breezy Point in Queens, so no complaints.
A commonplace scene in our neighborhood three days after Sandy. iPhone 4

Ed, I thought I hadn't seen a post from you in awhile. I forgot I shipped that X-Pro1 to a NJ address. Glad to hear you and yours are safe enough.

Ed, I'm so glad you and your family are safe and sound! You're fortunate that you got your power back. It's getting pretty cold at night. Let's hope that Thursday's storm peters out before it heads north. The good news is that the tides will not be astronomically high with this one and the wind speeds aren't supposed to be more than about 45-50mph.

God bless all you guys in Sandy's path. I wish I could directly help.
