Hipsters stunned as vintage cameras fail to make them professional photographers - Hayibo*|*Hayibo

this was just sent to me by a friend and it brought a wry smile to my face.

At least it's good-natured ribbing, though of course there are the more conservative/reactionary internet forums where “hipster” (and “lomo”) have become terms of contempt and abuse. I just see people experimenting and enjoying themselves, though, and thinking they are the first to do what they're doing. A bit like sex really ...

I enjoyed the article, and I actually like much of the lomo stuff around. Also, I think it's great that the "digital natives" get their hands on the analog stuff.

Yeah I read that earlier and got a few giggles out of it. I like playing with old cameras. I don't mind if I get a hazy blur out of an older one or a few mild leaks, it's somewhat endearing just to use them. Is it art.. don't know, don't care, I'm having fun.
    Thanked by pdh and Luke.
