Who's (un)happy with their tablet computer?
Many got a tablet computer like Apple iPad.
Is this a replacement to a netbook/notebook or just a wanna have product.
Which operating system you prefer and why.
I will have a look at Archos G9 NOW.
Replies are welcome, thanks in advance.
Have a nice day, Herman

I have a toshiba thrive Android honeycomb tablet and I've been happy with it. It's not a laptop replacment for me, but it does what I need it to do. View word/pdf/spreadsheet files, brows the internet, and lets me view pictures off an SD card or thumbdrive with ease. Only complaint is that I haven't found a good photoshop type app for it yet.
The archos g9 10 inch looks like a good tablet. The 8 inch looks good to, but a little small for my needs.
I'm sure lots of folks love their Ipads though.

iPad fever
Hey Herman, I have the pad2 and love it. I love editing on the go and checking web sites while waiting for the wife. It's not perfect but getting there. if you're not a super critical die hard fanatic about post work, then you may like this. Camera sucks too. I prefer this to a netbook for size and portability. And I can't see having an iPad and a netbook together. But hey that's me.
I took it with me to Hawaii and was able to download all my pics right from the memory card.
Cheers
Pete

happy with the ipad2, very useful and has helped my "non computer" wife to become a happy "email sender and web surfer" which I never thought would happen

Archos
I have the previous model Archos, the 70. Absolutley love it. http://www.archos.com/products/ta/ar...try=us&lang=en
I prefer the 7" size due to the better portability. When I use it as a reader, 10" is just too big for me, I like to one hand it.
I don't use it as a laptop replacement, but use it to surf the net, play a game, or check facebook while watching TV.
I also use it in two locations as a video player in the car. (Cell phone pics)

I have Dell Streak 7 and love it. It takes a standard size SD card so I can use it to view my images and upload them. I like the 7 inch form factor as it is handy to carry in a purse but the screen is still larger than that on my smartphone. The camera is Meh but the idea of chimping with something so large is vaguely funny.

I bought one of the 'original' tablets... way back in 2002.... The HP TC1100
It was was ok for its novelty value, but it never inspired me to move on to more updated tablet models, and I have to say, I dont find them as versatile as a standard laptop.
