I pulled the trigger on a new lens
Its a Horusbennu and only costs $54.50 AU (with free shipping) and its winging its way from Korea as I type. All manual, its a 50mm f/1.7 with really quite pleasant bokeh. Can't wait for it to arrive. Looks like its pretty small too :)
Sure, it wont be like the Pentaxes, but for that price, who cares!
Here it is on ebay
There are a few examples on flickr from the lens but not a lot.
Nick Faiello seems to be the main user posting shots there

Well I've played with it for a couple of days now, and I must have a good copy because the bokeh is really fairly decent. Here are a few from today, only one with OOF areas tho

and a 100% crop from the full size version of the above. Fairly pleased with it.

Thanks, Andy. I can't quite believe how good it is. Doesn't mean I am not still hunting Pentax M or K 50s though :)

And now, back to your regular program.
No more testing from me. Future shots will be mixed in with the rest :)

Thanks, Kristen. The more I use it, the more contented I become with the decision to buy. Big difference between that, and the FA43 for which I think I paid over $700AU. I'm actually not convinced this is worse, or that the FA is better.

If you still feel that way after awhile, you should cash out the FA.
