I wonder why the kit lens is not included. I think it's in demand!

I think the kit lens is selling with the camera at the discounted prices. It is even cheaper if you buy the returned ones at Amazon or B&H...

This makes sense to do as a package. I was reading an interview recently where a Fuji representative was saying that they were seeing demand for people skipping the zoom lens and making their own "kit" from the X-E1 body and the 35mm lens. The zoom still seems reasonably priced for it's specs and apparent performance. I'm starting to see (new) ebay prices of $750 for the X-E1 and $1100 for the X-E1 + 18-55mm, which means the zoom is adding $350 to the overall price.

Check out Adorama. They are giving free UV filters for each lens purchased. Plus, they are discounting all lenses (except of the 14/2.8) when purchased with the camera body. No two lens limit. For example, the biggest combo goes for:

    XE1 $999
    18-55 $499 (regular $699)
    18/2 $449 ($599)
    35/1.4 $299 ($599)
    60/2.4 $474 ($649)
plus 4 Fuji UV filters for free ($59 each)

Don't forget to use affiliate links.
