Agreed the colour outputs are pretty amazing, but I think the power of the Sigma is in how it renders contrast (esp. micro-contrast) and tones. Hence, why I think Foveon images make for very unique and pleasing black and whites - and what really does it for me.

Seems there's many a folk happy to share their DP images. Funny how it seems like we're a dying breed....and then out we all come from the woodwork.

I'll mine Lightroom and see if I can't find some Foveon black and whites.

I've been looking for a dp1/2 hopefully I can join this thread soon

I just realized I should probably post a few of my DP2s images here. Love that camera ... well, I love everything except the horrible AF in low light.

JJJPhoto - the lighting in the second portrait is amazing. Was that natural lighting or some external?

That was natural light from a large window ... although I did apply a vignette in Photoshop and bumped the contrast and the saturation of a few colors.
