    1066 and all that

I have a mate with a house in Normandy. Not the one near Guildford, the one in France. Where William the Conqueror hailed from. It's a lovely place, all granite and grass, with a great line in cider, cheese and other foodstuffs that the French keep wisely to themselves. We went over a week or two ago; he pops over to make sure everything is alright for him and his wife for Christmas - our last job before leaving was to make the fire so that one match will do the job in another three weeks. It was a grand weekend. I took with me my M2, pinhole and the X10 from which here are some fruits. Enjoy

    An old cider press:

    Waterfall:

A field of saffron with a farmhouse in the distance - or the rusty piggery roof... you decide

As a student of Anglo-Saxon, I always say that the last legitimate English monarch was Harold; all the rest are descended from the Norman usurper!

But I'm not so reactionary that I don't like the shots from your lovely X-10. Nice work.
    Thanked by Lightmancer and BBW.
