Ricoh GXR - Watching the Sun Rise

Just returned home from a 3 month, 8,535 mile road trip with our travel trailer to parts out west. A morning grab shot as we watched the sun rise over Lake Mead just east of Las Vegas.

Shot with Ricoh GXR-M and Leica Summicron 35mm v2.

Duane, do you still fly when you are on the road? Must be some challenging logistics.

Sorry I haven't responded until now but I realized I didn't have the "Instant Notification" turned on for this post.

Andrewteee: I still worked along the way while on this trip. We began at the end of August and I had 5 weeks off to begin with. I left the family at the Hill AFB RV campground near Ogden, Utah for a week before we continued our travels to Zion and on to Southern California.

I then worked two rotations while in San Diego. We then drove 2400 miles home from San Diego in 6 days and got home the day before Thanksgiving.
