    Tried spot metering with face detection turned on and got mixed results. Pulled off a few shots that I could tell would be tricky but also was a mile out on a few as well. I'm concluding the badly exposed shots were either a miss identification of a face, or inability to see one at all hence took spot reading from somewhere else.

    Did a bit of pixel-peeking on PBase. Result: ordered one from Amazon for 260 €, currently waiting while it does a fandango across Europe in the perplexing mitts of DHL.
