Thanks Rajiv. Sure, I could do something like that. Perhaps yourself and others might want to share their processes for b&w conversions in the same thread as well.

I noticed the dog right away, adds a bit to the photo IMO.

Thanks, Nic. I tend to gravitate toward bright images, and there was plenty of brightness in that scene with the snow.

snowy scenes are excellent candidates for b/w. So often the snow has a blue color cast anyways. And rarely is there much color in the winter....best to just remove it and let the lines and composition speak for itself.
