Perhaps a reflection on the improved quality of our light, which has indeed raised my spirits considerably. I've also found that the "zone bar" in Silver Efex Pro 2 is very useful to judge the low and high zone placements, the histogram being used to help judge contrast and there are the results of more careful work in the "darkroom", as well as using a camera that produces a "negative" that contains so much detail.

Having said that this is from a GH2 image, so perhaps my darkroom technique is where the major improvement is to be seen.

    Steam everywhere

1450 blows off steam whilst awaiting the starter signal

    Sunlight filtered by the steam

You'll have to imagine that magical smell produced by wet steam and the fumes from the coal fired boiler

There's a few more to come, either here or on mu-43, that follows on from some interesting and not often seen branch line working during the school half term holidays, then maybe I'll branch out in another direction, however remember I am some way from civilisation

    Barrie

PS, I thought you meant another photographic direction, suddenly I've seen the light, you mean a FOOD recipe
