well now i just see some html but then i've just turned the win7 box off and am on my linux netbook so thats not terribly helpful of me ... but generally i think bbcode links seem to always work best

Bizarre... I've just corrected it on my desktop - it had all sorts of squirly code front and back. Should display properly now - I won't try that again!
