dogs are good healers....she'll be good as new in no time. Give her a belly rub for me.

I told my dad today my dogs were "karma" for my teenage years......

I thought it was rather telling that there was a long silence, a slight smile, and then he changed the subject.

The other night we had a dog party in our back alley behind our condo. Our neighbors have one big dog and some folks from a couple of buildings over have another - they got them at about the same time as puppies so they've been best friends since they were just a few weeks old. And still are at about a year or year and a half years old now. Our little old dog was there too but she wasn't mixing it up with the big dogs much. They're both huge and really play hard. Really fun to watch.

...tonight at the lake. She can't swim for a couple more days. I was a nervous wreck. I hope she waits at least another month of so before our next calamity.......
