I absolutley love the second shot. Reflection of the tree and its fallen leaves... just beautiful.

Tilman, both forest pictures are so rich in their colors. In your first I feel as though I can feel the damp cold, yet the young lady's smile lifts me out and up. What a great old tree! I love the deep, dark watery reflections and more in your second and all the mysteries that I imagine because of the colors and layers in this picture. It's hard to describe what I'm trying to say.

Malcolm, when I turn to yours my reactions are on a different trajectory - one of hope and faith in good times ahead! There's nothing as uplifting as a blue sky, crystal clear day in such a gorgeous setting!
Thanked by greyelm and Tilman Paulin.

My wife captured this with her E-PL3 and Oly 45 this summer on the Gunflint Trail in Northern Minnesota. I thought the lichen on this old white pine was cool.
