What a great find! Snakes really freak me out, but I find them fascinating when I do run across them.

Two from today - flew over the garden and in the garden
The first is entitled "Look no hands" - I thought that the was for my benefit, (but doubtful as I am sure he did not see me), that I realised, (see second photo)
The Lizard is entitled "Look no (back) feet ...... obviously the result of a scrap with whatever

I'm not sure if they grow back on these things, (I think not - only the tails regenerate)

Very cool, Bill..and this is from an Ophidiophobe! Well, that's apparently what those of us who are afraid of snakes are called. I am not deathly afraid, but I would certainly be careful when I used to walk into my sister's barn...even if all I did see was a big, long, black rat snake slithering down by the milking stanchions!
Andrew, a very beautiful though sad image.

Readying the Vigilance
This was the sight that first attracted me to get close up to the Vigilance (Brixham sailing trawler). Then I got invited on board for a conducted tour. The crew were getting the vessel ready for a sailing race this Saturday (2nd June).

How exciting to have been invited for a tour, Barrie! Love this blue sky and all that rigging, though I don't know that I'd climb up there myself.

While attending a small town Memorial Day parade, I was lucky enough to get a chance to see a variety of sights and this was just one. Tweaked to play up the old time feeling.
