    Fuji X100 vs massive DSLR

I know X100 is quiet these days compared to X-E1 and X-Pro1, but I ran an errand earlier today, so grabbed my X100. I was walking down the street at same time as another fellow who seemed to be hauling 50 pounds of gear. massive tripod, DSLR, big lens, two bags, etc. God knows what he was setting out to do.

About 15 minutes later, now nearing dusk, the dude is finally setting up his shot on the street - in middle of road!?; I couldnt help but pull out my X100 and take a quick snap. He turned around after this shot and sheepishly smirked, acknowledging his burdensome gear and eyed my jealous simple rangefinder setup (though sometimes his would be justified depending on purpose, of course). I watched him, he took a few *basic* shots from this angle and then left...

Anyway, still loving the X100... This shot @ f/2, ISO 400, 1/60 sec [image resized for web and forum viewing; link to original at bottom]

I do not think he is shooting stills, video style tripod with fluid head makes me think video

Yep, plus the sticker on his bag says "Paradoxal", which seems to be a video thing: PARADOXAL

Yup video. The tripod and the way he's setup is all too familiar.
