Post Shadow Tone and Highlight Tone settings?!?!

Hi all. I searched the internet briefly, but not sure I got my answer. I have an X100 (and an X-E1 on order). Been lazy about the settings until now, but wondering.... most of my shots are of my family or friends. 99% are portraits or people shots, and of those two-thirds are indoors with either a bounced EF-20 flash or whatever lighting with pushed ISO.

SO - right now I have left alone the Shadow Tone and Highlight Tone setting in camera. What though is the best setting for these kinds of photos? I usually use JPGs right out of camera (no time for RAW at this point in my life) on Provia setting. Thanks.

I find that Pro Neg High gives me the most pleasing results. I find Provia too flat.

    I set it as such:

    SHADOW -1
    HIGHLIGHT -1
    COLOR +1
    SHARP +1
    DR 100
    Thanked by christilou.

Thanks for your settings above. But dont you mean "Provia" when you sayd "Pro Neg High"? Or do you mean Pro(via) Neg(ative Tone) High (Color and Sharp) ?

I believe that pro neg high and pro neg std are only available on the x pro 1 and xe-1. Don't remember having it on the x100.
