      Such an intense image.

      Thank goodness I know that sheep shearing isn't an act of violence...but I have to say that when I look at this image, it does feel as though there's something ominous afoot.

      Unlike Bill, I think the strong highlights coming down the shaft are what gives this image much of its power...that trap door, the cord hanging down on the right...the pile of shorn wool...

      A very dramatic image, Sam. An excellent image to go out with...the sense of finality is powerful.
