Two days from NJ. Day one was cold and short and challenging-had to stop frequently because of a hotspot in my new helmet was giving me headaches. Hit a lot of traffic in the DC area. Only covered 300 or so miles. Next day things were much better and warmer and I covered over 700 miles. I was on a BMW C650GT for this story.
Going through the neighboring town of Ashland when I spotted a coal/pimer black Harley that seemed to just make a statement all of its own, sitting there, parked on a very normal, quiet, leafy suburban street. It seemed to be surveying all the 'lesser' vehicles out of its one all-seeing "eye" .... aka its headlight.
