Nikon Showcase Nikon Coolpix A Image Thread

Hi, I don't know about ray, but I have the black one. But I would be happy with either.

Don.. Yes the Silver looks great as well.. I will probably snag it tomorrow.... have you heard of a newer model coming soon? From what I have been reading it is status Quo for a while.. Or did I miss something? I would hate to buy it and immediately see a newer version coming shortly...

Don.. how do you like your Nikon A? how would you compare it to the X100S?
I really like it. It is quite a bit lighter and smaller so it makes a good carry everywhere. But I would not dump the X100 (I don't have the newer X100s).
Sometimes it is nice to have the 35mm vs. the 28mm. They complement each other nicely.
I am lucky enough to be able to keep both.

nobody been out shooting?

Took the A into the city the last time I went in, figuring I'd put the Df away and pull out the A when I started the "street" portion of my day. But I never managed to put the Df away, so no, the A hasn't had much use lately. It'll make a comeback though - not to worry.

Nice to see you back Tallahassee. I've been ignoring the A too much lately, shooting mostly with the Df and an interlude while I was getting to know the Canon G7X. But I'll get back to it soon. It's just too good...

I almost pulled the trigger on the GX7 but decided agains it. Df is on my list, just have to wait for the price to come down a bit. Cheers Ray!

I've been spending my time with the Df lately, and the "A" was getting lonely. When I planned to take the Df into Philly again today, the A got pissed and started yelling at me about neglect, so I decided to go minimalist and took the A and ONLY the A, so no bags or zooms or anything extraneous. It was nice to get reacquainted - this has been one of my favorite cameras ever and it still is.

I walked over the Ben Franklin Bridge for the first time in the 22 plus years we've lived here. Was expecting and hoping for a foggy morning, but that didn't happen, so I had to settle for a nice sunrise over not-so-beautiful downtown Camden, and the nice morning light on Philly. Then I walked all over the city and did some street shooting, which is the A's strong suit, at least for me...
