Sony gave in to temptation...got my rx100 today

Decided to dump $640 into another compact today....ran around and took about 150-175 shots in various modes and formats (jpeg and RAW)...I need to figure out how to transfer pics to my nexus 7 tablet now.

Good choice for the rx100 :). Eyefi sd card for file transfer?

That will be coming soon. They didnt have them where i got the camera from.

There is a brand new eye-fi out, 16GB pro. I would just order it online from somewhere like Amazon. The price is the same as you would have paid for the 8GB a few months ago, so it isn't too bad, and is totally worth it. I have a Motorola Xoom and it works really well with the RX100 and Eye-fi.

I had never heard of Eye-fi before until this thread. $100 for a 16gig card on Amazon is eye-watering, but gives me something to do research on. Thanks for posting.

How do these cards work? Is there a need for a wireless WiFi router to act as a go between the card and a laptop/tablet? Or can the card connect directly to a laptop much like a Bluetooth headset connects to a phone?

here are some shots i've taken over the last couple of days
