Micro 4/3 Panny G5 image

That looks great. The G5, G6, and GH2 are all better than most people might give them credit for. That GH2 sensor is still very good.

I agree although I do think M4/3 needs good light to get the best out of it. I had a G3 which I thought was really good and the G5 is a tad better but nicer to use. I think with a 12-35mm f2.8 it will be a great little addition to my decreasing fleet!

Yummy colour. What's your favorite camera just now? You go through a fair few, it has to be said, but somehow you seem more settled these days.

I guess I agree to some extent -- but most of what I want to do with micro four thirds is done on a tripod in generally dark abandoned buildings and the long time exposures with dark frame subtraction actually look quite good. It's anything but "good light".

With the slightly lower dynamic range vs. larger sensors then "good light" could mean not too wide a range of light? With static subjects (again my meat mostly) I handle that with photo-realistic HDR.

This is why the "limitations" of micro four thirds probably affect me so little, lol. For me they are a small, light, high quality camera system which allows me to carry a lot with very little weight and bulk.

At this very moment in time it's the DP1m but that may change soon!! I put my Canon 6D up for sale on another forum and someone came back with a suggested trade with a nearly brand new Fuji X100s with some spares! I loved my old X100 and swore I would be buried with it but changed it for a X-1Pro which didn't last all that long. SO hopefully next week I'll have a new (to me) X100s!! I am trying to reduce the amount of gear that I own and just having a few items that are the best I can afford. The DP1m is for street/Landscape, The X100s will be my main go to camera for general walk about stuff and the G5 I will use for my hols to Florida in late October. I'n not sure I will keep it after that but I'm enjoying it at the moment so may keep it a little longer.

I have been thinking of spending my spare cash on something non photography related. This will make me use what I have more and hopefully stop the GAS to some extent. I have always tinkered with cars so I may get another toy (I Love VW's so maybe an old Golf) and I will have something to photograph then instead of the bugs in my garden! LOL

If I don't have any pressing needs, I usually spend spare money on traveling. It really stops the GAS and provides excellent opportunities to actually use the cameras I already own :)

Having a wife and 2 kids, the travelling is sorted. I'm not really sure yet wether to go for another car as I'm about £5000 short of what i really want! But..it would be kinda fun!

Nice work, ghostbuster! I like the image on flickr on my retina display. I can see the detail and the enjoy the little droplets of water. Good eye!
