Micro 4/3 New OM-D to be released

I hope this new camera will utilize the 43's lens line to its fullest. I know a lot of 43's shooters have felt abandoned by Olympus and this camera will make this up to those photographers. They spent top dollar for exquisite lenses and will now have a camera that supports that system!

neffsrus, he means old school Olympus shooters. There was a format before m43 called 43. Olympus started the m43 with Panasonic and kind of stopped developing new products for 43 system. But this new camera will be able to fully use the old 43 lenses

Did you just enable both me AND yourself at the same time? :D

Hahaha! I'm not an enabler! So no! LOL!

I have a 12-60 and 50 macro. So I was likely self-enabled already, before you even brought up the 50-200, which was something I'd always lusted after. Even after all these years, no other system has anything comparable to the 50-200 in terms of reach, performance, size, and price.

I'm starting to sound like a 4/3 fanboy, aren't I? Yikes!!

Olympus are coming in on Sat 14th for a special day so hopefully they will bring it with them. I won't be there but they may leave it behind for a few days so everyone get's the chance to have a play.

I'll be the first one to complain about the EM1.

Why does Olympus HATE the metering function so much that it does NOT allow metering to be assigned to ANY customizable button in ANY of its cameras!?!? WHY??

This is a great camera and I would most probably love it. But since I already own the E-M5 I don't see any reason for buying the E-M1, although the new lens, the 1.8/12-40mm, is highly interesting.

The new E-M1 costs about as much as I expected. Although it is obvious that the E-M5 costs a little bit more than the E-M5, it is also obvious that the E-M1 doesn't cost much less than the Nikon D600 and the Canon 6D. Of course, I see that the price of the E-M1 is reasonable within the µ4/3 system, but this shows one more time, how expensive µ4/3 is. I am ready to pay a reasonable high price for miniaturization and high quality, but in my opinion the prices of µ4/3 are simply ridiculous.
