Day 7 - Golden October

In the trees in Southern Oregon, fall colors are running rampant, a palette of rich yellows, oranges and reds. But in the garden a different kind of color can be seen - that of some truly weird mutant squashes which have lain low for some time....but are now ready to launch themselves on either the world or our dinner plates...or both. Taken with my LX7.

On Day 7, we saw more turkeys. Actaully we've seen them every day on the way to school, but this time they were in a park in the fog.

Sunfowers Still Life

After an unsuccessful venture outside to find some autumn chroma, I remembered some fresh sunflowers my wife had set on a table in the dining room. 'Not one for still life arrangements I thought I should at least take a look and maybe give it a try. 'Even set my XF-1 on a tripod, another rare moment.
I thank my wife for the image, it was her still life arrangement.

Adobe Elements 8 organizer wasn't broke. Why did they fix it in 11? And how did they figure out how to annoy me the most with the changes? 2 beautiful days almost wasted because once I get embroiled in a learning curve, it's like a tarbaby!

This from a few days ago. I swear it looked pretty natural in Adjust and I just don't have the energy to start over and try to fix it. No, wait - I'm going for the graphic novel look. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
