DAY 11 - Golden October

Well, the name of this series is Golden October - and some of the tall ornamental grasses here and there across the southern Oregon landscape have a way of turning almost golden in some moments - like this one, when the sun emerged briefly and intensely in the middle of a cold, cloudy morning.

That in my opinion beautiful building housed Beluga, the restaurant with two Michelin stars. It's called Beluga Loves You now. Hans van Wolde is the second top chef (after Ron Blaauw) who turned his star restaurant in a more affordable concept. Sign of the times?

Nice. One of the (several) things I like about this image is the selective focus - with the reddish leaves near the center sharp, and everything else blurring gently - almost a diorama effect. It's really cool - and effective.

I assumed that Christilou did use some PP magic to enhance the selective focus here, like a super-vignette - I'm not sure even the mighty RX1 could produce exactly the image that she posted... but I hear she never gives away her secrets.... :D
