This helium-filled balloon, looking for all the word like a small UFO, was slowly rotating (clockwise) in my local market....and wouldn't hold still. To get the picture, I had to rotate a little faster than it was, then stop, set my framing and wait for it to slowly enter the frame and then try to snap the shutter at the precise instant....but it took several tries before I got the framing I wanted.
Taken with the trusty LX7, using the in-camera 'Miniature' effect which basically keeps a central zone in focus but defocuses most of the rest of the frame.
Drumroll please - third in a series - Granny's watch, the back. As the front (with a blank space under the frond the bird sits on) lifts to reveal the clock, this is the lid to a locket, although neither Granny (as far as I know) nor I ever put a photo in it.
I am seldom moved to toot my own horn, but I will mention that this is my nicest piece of "product photography" to date. I hope I'm finally learning to see the light!
