I gotta say........I hate mine. I loathe it with a passion. I took it away for 2mths to edit photos stored on a portable 250gb drive. Most times the photos did not open.

Dare I say I adore mine? Because I do ... But I sure don't want to argue about that - that's down to experience and taste (and sufficiency). Anyhow, to get most things to work, you need to be online (if I were in the UK, I'd use Three to achieve that - worked a treat when I was in Edinburgh for a couple of months last year).

I use Pixlr - only the online version; works quite well and is astonishingly well equipped, never lets me down as long as I'm handling JPEGs.

I've never heard of Pixlr before you mentioned it, but after having a look, I'm impressed.

Really need more info. Which brand chromebook, how much ram, and SSD Drive or do you have a regular HD.
Ive tried editing photos on My Acer netbook with 250 gb hard Drive and 2 gb of ram. It works but not very well.

Sent from my HTC One V using SeriousCompacts mobile app

yeah same here with my Asus netbook, not particularly successful, but for me, Windows apps don't do the job, I've become so used to OSX which seems to talk to gfx cards differently to Win. I'm currently attempting to browbeat my netbook into submission to accept an install of Snow Leopard (which is the last of the 32/64bit OSXes, and I need 32bit on my crummy netbook.

I've resisted Chromebook because I'm sick of google and having to be online to use tools like Pixlr would annoy the hell out of me.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Pixir? Never heart of it before, sounds interesting.

My chromebook is a Samsung XE303C12-A01NL with 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, 11.6 screen.

Nothing but praise for 3 - free 4G, good 3G connectivity and all you can eat data for a tenner a month.

Ditto on Pixlr too.
