new Lytro with 30-250mm f2.0 lens

I think they are getting a better idea about what this camera is FOR. It's not good at being a traditional stills camera. But for a new type of interactive photograph, it is perfect. It's a very niche product, but a very cool one.

but, apparently still only at 2.5Megapixel image resolution.

I'd much rather have a camera with "traditional focussing" with ADDED Lytro functionality -> but only for small focus corrections in a limited depth, e.g. when the camera focussed on someone's glasses instead of their eyes...

By limiting the "refocussing depth", we'd get higher image resolution. Which would make this camera much more useful (at least in my eyes :) )

I think it is neat and at least this one is a functional camera instead of a square tube thing. I could put it to use for some of the video slide shows I have to make for work{I work in a children's ministry}. I have done the Ken Burns effect which is better than just still, but this gives a new dimension to images. The price is too high but if after a year or two the price comes down I might get one.
