Samsung Trade in a tired DSLR for a NX30 in Times Square on June 4th.

I imagine there will be a lot camera store employees waiting in line with some 12 year old DSLRs to get rid of.

Is ditch my e30 for one! Then sell the samsung, and buy an E1 and pocket the rest for future a7s purchase!
*steeples maniacally*
MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

I'm sure a lot of folks will turn around and sell the NX30 but Samsung won't care, they'll be getting more NXs out there and potentially win over more users :)

Maybe if they didn't put such a massive price tag on them when they first came out, sales would be better and they wouldn't need to practically give them away LOL!

Aw! I have a 1000D and 40D lying in my dry cabinet that I cannot sell for a good price... How I wish Samsung had such an event in my country.

*checks for cheap flights to NYC and then thinks better of it*

Spirit Airlines has dirt cheap fares as long as you don't need to print a boarding pass, check or carry on a bag, talk to a human, or drink a water on the flight. I believe it is free to use the lavatory one time.

I go to New York every day but I'd have to call in sick to make this event. And I don't know what I could trade in. My Pentax DSLRs are in great shape.

Buy a cheap ugly body from KEH. The UG ones are cheap because they don't work right. Even the Bargain ones might be cheap enough to make this work. Of course, limited amounts might go quickly in Time Square.

Does that include flushing? And water to wash your hands afterwards?

Hey, don't joke, there very well may be a charge! They don't let you check in online unless you give them your email, so of course then you're on their mailing list. Of course you don't have to check in online...but you'll pay.

I wasn't able to go but my good friend did. He was one of the lucky ones. He said it was quite orderly and only a handful were rejected for not having the right camera/accessories. One person near the front even had a mirror less and was rejected.

So far he likes the camera. It came with a lens too. He is thinking about buying an adapter to use his Nikon lenses with it

I would use an adapter with my Canon lenses on my NX300 but Canon EF/EF-S lenses don't have an aperture ring so I would only be able to shoot them wide open or go through annoying on-Canon body steps to stop down :(
