My "lounge" (ha!) is the living room in my apartment. Do post pictures of your "lounge" as well.
.... ok, how long did it take you to clean before you took that photo?!
HA! There will be no photos of my lounge (which is also my dining room). What chaos!!This is from the day I moved in. I wish it still looked like this.

I'm gonna add ours because we just got it redone this summer. We have a long skinny condo and the main floor was cut up in to three only semi-useful rooms until this summer. During July, we had the place totally opened up with an entirely different layout and essentially new kitchen (except we kept most of the appliances we had). We used to come down here to use the kitchen and only occasionally the separate dining room and living room. Most of our time was spent upstairs in our bedroom or offices. Now that it's all once space we basically live down here most of our waking hours. Between the kitchen island (which is a main hangout), the dining room (where we eat some of our meals and use the table as workspace), and the living room (which is where we relax - and it easily expands out into the dining room when we need more space), this IS our lounge. It's not ONLY a lounge, but it's our primary living space and much lounging happens here...

I spy an Eames lounge chair and a definite mid-century aesthetic. Nice!
I knew there was something, Eliotsue, this is why we're friends... at least in my head
... It's actually a tiny little apartment ....
In spite of the UWA shots, I can already tell that its big enough to nearly fit my entire *house*!!! Crikey!
Ray, Awesome shack.... what kinda beer is on the countertop in first photo? or is it a beer?
Nice move. I've been doing some searching for properties recently and the once popular idea to maintain the kitchen, dining and living as separate spaces is a big turn-off for me.
