Went for a short walk along the Yarra River in downtown Melbourne, it was chilly out but in a refreshing kind of way and feeling the sun on my face felt so good after such a horrid 2 weeks of nothing but miserable greyness, wind and rain. Best part of all was that I actually had the morning free to get out there for a bit and enjoy it.

All with the Nikon D610.

The birds were loving the warm light too.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Ray, yeah the first was taken with the 20, the birds on a bridge was with the 50 and the rest with the 85....all G lenses. Speaking of telephoto, I have the 180/2.8 (the ED-AF version) coming my way soon which should be fun.

That birds on the bridge shot is quite a vantage point then - I wouldn't have guessed that was a 50. The birds seem so close and the underside of the bride so compressed, I'd have figured much longer. Great shot...

Thanks Ray.
You're absolutely right, the vantage point I took the shot from makes it at first impression look an unlikely 50mm shot. The bridge is quite low with nothing but those very short tourist cruise boats being able to pass underneath.
