Hello, and welcome to the 21st Salon Challege! My thanks to Bill for his sterling work in the last challenge.

It's the season of goodwill for many, and I hope for all, so I would like to choose that the theme be "The Season of Goodwill" - I know that the traditional interpretation may not be politically correct in this topsy turvy world that we now live in, so don't just think of applying it to Christmas if you have other ideas ....... in fact a diverse group of concepts would be really interesting and a statement to me is the challenge. So think a little, look around a little, enjoy a lot, lift a few glasses if you are that way inclined and have a great Christmas or whatever you may celebrate at this time of year.

Best wishes to everyone

Bill

(PS - where is BB (Walden) - these days?)

Closing date is the 5th January 2016 ........ yes we will soon be in 2016 ...WOW for some!!

Rules are simple................

1. Either take a picture that matches the nominated theme or select one from your portfolio. You must be the photographer that created the image in order to enter it.

2. Only one entry per salon, please. If you want to withdraw an entry and replace it with another, that is OK, but you must make it clear in the post containing your replacement picture that this is what you've done. You can add or change the title and add to the edit line to let everyone know.

3. The decision of the curator at the end of the challenge is final - don't give him/her a hard time about it: this is just a friendly photo challenge, after all!

4. The person who submitted the chosen picture will assume the responsibility of curator for the next Salon Challenge and as soon as possible post a message in a new thread in the PL Photo Challenges forum, with details of the new theme. Don't forget - that opening message must include a copy of these instructions, which also double as the rules.

5. The curator cannot enter his or her own salon.

Cheers, Jock

Interesting challenge!
BB is not participating in the fora so much anymore, but she's fine, last time I asked (on flickr). Posts some stuff on flickr from time to time, still happily shooting :)

I’m not great at judging anything really, so don’t be offended if you feel I make the wrong choice.

Not many entries this month

Jock Elliot – a really good and happy image – no pretentions, just a great nativity scene.

ReD – a funny image which I think that I have seen before, but it still amuses me

pniev – usual – creative and imaginative

dougpayne – a touch of glamour

donlaw – spiritual, thought provoking

drd1135 – made me laugh

Lightmancer – I agree with the sentiments – but we just forget

OK – purely a personal choice

I lent towards Jock and pniev

I know I said, maybe something different which pniev gave us ……. but I am just a softy for the traditional Nativity scene ……… so my choice is Jock’s image ....... “Living nativity, Victorian Stroll 2015, Troy, NY” – which was the first to be posted.

Well done Jock and all who participated.
