Fuji Has anyone bought one of the $99 X10's from eBay?

Years ago I had an X10 (in fact as I recall I bought it from Ray) and really liked that camera a lot. I sold it and since then have been shooting Fuji (XE-1) and Sony (5n, 6 and now an a6000). I find I really dislike the a6000 and I am thinking of picking up an X10 to play with while I figure out what to do with the Sony.

The $99 price is quite tempting especially given the state of my wallet during the holidays. Has anyone bought one? They supposedly "may have minor scratches or blemishes". Of course it is amazingly cheap.

Dang it all!!! Do not tempt me with a scratch and dent camera with free shipping. Though..... I may Make an Offer and just see how low they'll go!! (since it is not coming with batteries, charger, lens cap etc).

Edited to add: I put in $61 just to start the Make and Offer ball rolling. Seller came back with $94.99.

i did, but i dont think it was this particular deal from this seller. i had the original, sold it to 'upgrade' to the x20, hated the xtrans sensor and sold the x20. then i saw a deal similar to this about last january or so. it was 'open box' new, but supposedly had the sensor before it was improved to deal with the 'white orb' issue. i bought it anyway because, well, it was $100! ive never had an 'orb' issue, and i love the camera. of course, none of this is probably very helpful, but i guess by the same logic, its $100 and if somethings really wrong you can get your money back.

I bought one in March from the same seller for $123 iirc. Camera was more or less "like new", but came with third party battery and charger. I have had zero issues with it.

Well that's confusing. In the small print it says it ships here, but in the large red print above, it says it does not. I imagine you wouldn't see that because you're there, so there's no need for it to say anything at all...

Hmmmm....$90 is gonna pretty hard to resist.

Yeah, very hard to resist and there's very low risk at that price. Even if you don't really need this camera, playing around with the EXR technology can be a lot of fun. Plus, the jpg's from the X10 are better than those from the X20.

Meanwhile, replacement NP-50 batteries - even Fuji-branded ones - are very inexpensive. $12.49 each on Amazon.com as I type this. Battery life with the X10 will encourage you to pick up an extra two or three of them.

I'm thinking about picking up one of these X10's to keep in the car with me at all times. Remember, if you pull the trigger use Amin's eBay link.

I pushed the button after going back and reading reviews one more time. Ebay said there were currently 42 other buyers making offers. Biro - that was my thought exactly. Toss it in the car at all times camera.

It just became a present for someone for whom I had no good ideas. I hope it works. :rolleyes-74:

I'll bet it will work fine. I just pulled the trigger on one myself. But you (or the giftee) will probably have to pick up a few accessories. The camera ships with battery and charger but no other gear. That means no USB cable, no lens cap and (I'll bet) no manual.

Just bought one too. They accept returns so if it's a mess it can always go back. Having had an X10 before I know it'll need a few extra batteries. I have my soft release from when I had the x10 before and a thumb rest is a good idea with these cameras.
