The old converted barn that I live in is on the same farm as this barn, however this one is too remote from access and services and so has been left to go to ruin.

Doorways and lintel (old barn)

P.S. That shot was taken about 90 minutes ago, it was obviously sunny and there was little wind, now it's grey and overcast with rain and squally winds, talk about changeable!

P.P.S. A comparison shot processed with ACR and Photoshop and then converted to monochrome with Silver Efex has been posted in the "outtakes and experiments" which I believe shows a better spread of tonality than is evident in this image.

In my infamous ability to switch out gear, today proved to be no exception. My wife and I did some "trail snowshoeing"and although I had planned to go out with the CL with me it proved to be too icy with some of the trails cut into the side of steep hillsides. Hence, the Fuji X-Q1 in my pocket ended up being my gear choice for the day.
