This one smacks of desperation! Waiting for rain which is unlikely to come.

The weatherman on the radio at lunchtime succinctly summed up todays weather as "drab and uninspiring". I promised earlier in the month that I would have an opportunity to post a view from my front door on just such a day, and whilst I have taken such a shot on several days since as a banker today is the day to post one taken earlier this morning, the visibility since then has actually decreased, probably due to the fact that it is now thick drizzle as opposed to rain, whatever, it's going to be wet from dawn until dusk.

Day Twenty Seven - the wrong way to spend a weekend

Quite windy outside but some very nice light. I know I should try harder to catch a shot but having got my messages in this morning (in Scottish talk that just means getting in the shopping/groceries) I’ve had as much excitement as I need today. Seriously - I travel a lot, but even still, at times like this I can’t help scolding myself that I need to go out and get a life. Anyway, not today, I can’t be bothered to go back out again. So, at lunch time I just ventured into our back garden and found myself in a bush.

Today was difficult. My first attempt was to ask a barista at the local starbucks, but she refused to let me take a photo. Then my daughter confiscated my camera so I would not embarrass her by asking for photo when we picked up some dinner to go.
Finally, I went on a supply run to a local department store and grabbed this image of some random shoppers trying to decide on a purchase...
